In 1971, The Arab Trade Centre was officially established by the Egyptian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade as a branch of Misr Import and Export Co. in Qatar under the sponsorship of, and in partnership with Darwish & Company Ltd.

With the outright ownership of Ahmed Kassim Darwish Fakhroo in 1983, the Arab Trade Centre’s worldwide reputation has tremendously increased, as it represented many companies from most Arab countries, Europe and the Far East through importation of foodstuff, textiles and fabrics, stationeries, kitchenware and outdoor cooling system, and has participated in various Qatari tenders.
